In the "Preface" of the Practice of Godliness by Jerry Bridges, he says that humility deals largely with our relationship with God. It is part of our sternness with ourselves, yes, and our tenderness toward others, yes, but largely it relates to how we deal with our Lord. I can't wait to get into the book and learn more, but as I read Psalm 113, Majesty and Condescension of God, I could relate to this song of Hallel in all humbleness toward my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. For His name is to be praised and He is high above all nations - His glory above the heavens! For one to only think upon God's plan for salvation in sending Jesus, Himself to earth is to bring one to his knees in humble adoration.
Lord, thank you for your love for sinners that You would send Jesus to save us and bring us back into your grace. Praise the Lord!
