Wisdom - It's the Principle Thing

The Bible tells us in Proverbs to "Get wisdom! Get understanding!" We are not to forsake "her" - wisdom - why? She preserves us! We are to love her - wisdom - and she will keep us. How can wisdom preserve us and keep us? Let's look at the other side of wisdom first - the other side of wisdom is being the fool. What happens to the fool? "The fool will be servant to the wise of heart." (Proverbs 11:29b) Again you may ask why? Proverbs 1:7 says, "The fear of the LORD is the beginning of knowledge, but fools despise wisdom and instruction." This then tells me to get in the Word and become more knowledgeable in it and grow in wisdom and understanding of God's ways that I not be a foolish person but a wise woman (or man - in my case it would be a woman). Wisdom supplies, supports, maintains, manages, retrains, prevents, reserves, saves, protects, takes care of and takes charge of us! The Bible tells us to "not enter the path of the wicked and not walk in the way of evil. Avoid it; do not travel on it. (Proverbs 4:14-15) Turn away from it and pass on." Do not be the fool - Get wisdom! Get understanding!"
