The Head and Not the Tail

"And the LORD will make you the head and not the tail; you shall be above and not beneath, if you heed the commandments of the LORD your God, which I command you today, and are careful to observe them."

The "head" - the head of the human body, the head of the line, what is principle or supreme, first, top, prince, the highest part, summit, beginning, foremost, leader, and chief. Just as the "head" of a company refers to it's chief and their leadership.

Above: on high, overhead, and heaven, heavenward; in or to a higher place, rank, or position, superior in, greater in; beyond the level or reach of!

Heed: to pay attention to; listen to and consider (ponder, meditate on)

Observe: to be or become aware of through careful and directed attention; to adhere to or abide by; to keep or celebrate; to conform to.

I am a Christian. I am the head and not the tail. I am above and not beneath for I heed the commandments of the Lord and observe them. I am a doer of the word and not a hearer only!

Deuteronomy 28:13, James 1:22
