Paul says to us in II Corinthians 6:1 not to "squander one bit of this marvelous life God has given us." Most times we haven't heard it put so nicely and instead we've heard it put this way, "don't waste your life." But that doesn't come across to me as well as Paul's words. Squander does mean "not to waste" but it puts a positive emphasis on it for me to share with you because it not only tells us to not waste our life but that there are "things" out there in this big wide world that God has for us and we could miss those marvelous opportunities in our lives! So as I look at this verse I want to remember that I could miss out on the extravagant possibilities and opportunities available to me by not getting up out of my lazy boy (or girl), not getting out from behind the TV, not getting out of my comfort zone whatever it might be and not reaching up and out when I could to the plans God has for me. He does have plans for my life or I wouldn't be here. He makes no mistakes so don't think that way either! Today make this your prayer and wait to hear what God's answer might be then grab hold of it!
"Lord, help me today to know what your purpose and plans are for my life. I want to be part of your plans and the big picture in this lifetime of mine while I am here on this earth. I am here to be your servant. Help me also to hear from you. Thank you, Jesus."
