Do you bring glory to God in your parade? We are to bring honor to God in our speech and conduct. I know I myself have some work to do in these areas, how about you?
The Spirit Filled Life Bible at Psalm 2:12 in Truth-in-Action has a great thought that I want to share with you. It reads, "Godly living is radically different from the way we learned to live while in the world." We are not to do business as usual! We're learning a new and different way to live in this world around us. It's called His way, God's way of living is extremely different living!
Because living God's way is unnatural to us, we need help! God gave us the Holy Spirit for such help. It begins by renewing our mind - our thinking - to what God says in His Word. This will change our speech and our conduct. Through Jesus Christ we are saved but through our "working out our own salvation" we become the Christian on parade and an example of Christ to this world.
