Let love be without hypocrisy.
Abhor what is evil.
Cling to what is good.
Be kindly affectionate to one another with brotherly love,
in honor giving preference to one another,
not lagging in diligence, fervent inspirit, serving the Lord;
rejoicing in hope, patient in tribulation,
continuing steadfastly in prayer;
distributing to the needs of the saints,
given to hospitality.
Romans 12:9-13
We are given to hospitality. Paul exhorts us to walk in love and behave like a Christian. Love is to be the guiding principle in a Christian relationship with believers as we read above, but also with non-believers and even our enemies. Read verses 14-21 of Romans 12.
And above all things have fervent love for one another,
for love will cover a multitude of sins.
Be hospitable to one another without grumbling.
As each one has received a gift,
minister it to one another,
as good stewards of the manifold grace of God.
I Peter 4:8-10
Again we read, from Peter this time, that we are to love and practice hospitality to all.
Maybe we ought to be practicing this more. I believe it's true that practice make perfect. The more we do it the better we get at it, right? Let us practice godly living unto others God has placed in our lives today, tomorrow, and for a lifetime.
