Religion
Let me quote Brother Kenneth Copeland today..."Religion is dangerous. Religion would rather debate about healing than see somebody healed. Religion would rather argue about deliverance than see somebody set free. ...That's the difference between religion and the love of God. Religion argues. Love acts. Choose love today." Luke 13:11-17 Read more from his Faith to Faith devotional.

Let's Roll!
Let the good times roll and don't let the rough times defeat you! When those times where bumps appear in the road and hit you hard, it's by keeping the faith you'll find a way over, under, around or through! Don't choose to roll over and play dead at this time...dead is dead... nothing is moving when it's dead! Faith keeps moving and rolling on... keep fighting the good fight of faith until you win!

Daydreams
Daydreaming lately? It probably will remain a daydream, but if it is a true God thing - a vision, divine appointment, circumstance or situation - you'll know it. With God's vision the joy overtakes the pain but you know some sort of pain is still there. It could be pain in a physical sense or emotional, relational, financial... it's a battle, but it's His battle. And it's already won!
This was shared with me just this morning about vision: "If your vision doesn't cost you something it's a daydream." (John Maxwell) So if you're living your dream (vision) don't be complaining about any pain that exists... simply rejoice in the Promised Land and fight the giants!

Answered Prayer
You never know. God has His amazing way of answering prayer. We ask. He answers. He answers in amazing ways that delight my soul. Don't try and figure it out, just ask Him through prayer and let Him answer.

Go for It!
When dreams are God-given you need to go for that dream with all that you have in you. No stopping. Beat the door down if you have to but don't let anything keep you from what God has called you to dream. He will make it happen if you let Him. Wait on Him but do all that you know to do and then wait some more, do some more, wait, do and keep on keeping on until you are living the dream. Remember this: He is God of all possibilities!

Mercy & Grace
Thank You Lord for Your mercy and grace. It's in Your blood. It covers it all. Thank You for the gift of my salvation. May others find in You this gift of sacrificial Love so undeserving but available to all.

Catching Up
Do the right thing every time because the wrong thing done does catch up with you! When you do the right thing every time you will reap the benefits of God's goodness, mercy, favor, peace, joy... and more! I'd rather have the blessings flowing, wouldn't you?

Love of Country
This came to me this morning as I was reading my Facebook friends’ posts and it is something I believe in so it truly touched me and is why my journaling focuses upon it:
"I am an UN-APOLOGETIC AMERICAN!! I LOVE AMERICA!!! I pledge allegiance to the flag of the UNITED STATES OF AMERICA, and to the REPUBLIC for which it stands, one nation under GOD, indivisible, with LIBERTY and JUSTICE for all!! I grew up reciting this every morning in school. We no longer do that for...fear...of OFFENDING SOMEONE!! Let's see how many AMERICANS will re-post this & NOT CARE about offending someone!!!!"
Why is it we have gotten to the place where we don't understand the truths in life? The truths about ourselves, our country, our God? I love my Country and I believe in her because I believe in the God of the Bible. I know He created all things and is in all things... I know my Country was founded upon the Lord our God… this came from a background of education that taught me well... on truths. I know this, too. When you remove all light from the darkness all you have is darkness. Who wants the dark? It is the Light that brings life to any place that exists. God is that Light. He is the Light, Love and Life!
Now you see it! We have removed God from our schools, our government and even our homes! What is left then is only darkness. The darkness is death. Choose to live in the Light! The Light of God and Truth!

Others Minded
Take a moment and ask yourself this question: Is you life others minded? If you can't answer yes to that question there is another answer. You have chosen to be wrapped up in yourself. That's how I was for many years of my life. Let me tell you, it is better to get off that high horse of satisfying self and begin to elevate others over yourself! It is the world that tells us we must have this or that or do this or that... it's a constant get, get, getting and doing for self! Only the Word of God tells us that we are to lift up others and edify them not ourselves... in fact it tells us in the Gospel of John that we should love others even to the point where we would be willing to die for them. Take a moment now (and each day of your life) and ask the Lord what you could do for another.

Where Lies Your Future?
It's been said that we create our own future and it's true, we do. How? Choices. If you are searching for an answer in how to make good choices or the best choices I suggest you turn to the Basic Instruction book God gave us Before Leaving this Earth... the Bible. Here you will find the answer to that exact question in Deuteronomy 30:19 and 20.
Are you making choices for death today or for life because tomorrow and the next day you will reap what you have sow in the choice you make today. Choose life! Begin to think God's wisdom, speak God's wisdom and act God's wisdom and see life in your future! How you choose matters and part of the choosing is in how you think, speak and how you act on it today!
Galatians 6:8

Take the Pressure Off
We know that all things work together for good to those who love God... do you love God? God's purpose for His people has only been good. Love Him today. Love His Son. Take on the character of His love for He is love. You will find that this removes the pressure of what the world throws at you day in and day out. God is good! All the time!

Today is the Day
Whatever it is you are believing for, today is the day. Do whatever it is you know to do even if it is waiting. Waiting is the hardest thing to do most times but remember, waiting is also an action and a service unto the Lord. Go ahead, do something today because something BIG is going to happen for you today!

Bored?
Too many people seem to get bored too easily these days. Many of them happen to be Christians. The remedy for boredom of any kind is to do something! The remedy for spiritual boredom in your life is to put your faith to work - again do something! So often we find ourselves faithfully having our daily quiet time, regularly attending church Sundays and Wednesdays, fellowshipping with other Christians and attending Bible studies... that is not the problem. The problem is you! You have listened and listened and listened to the Word. You have heard and heard and heard again the Word. You have now become saturated in the Word - this is good - but you've missed the next step... Now it is time to be a doer of the Word! Simply do what you've been told to do in the Good Book and you'll find you won't be bored any more! I like what Rick Renner has to say on the subject of boredom from one of his "sparkling gems"... don't "become oversaturated and numb." Get up and do something! Do something today and create the habit in you to be a doer of the Word of God.

Expectation
Day after day the most amazing God - The One True God of the Bible - continues to see us through with His tremendous power and majesty. How can it be that we, flesh and blood but spirit also do not see Him all around us? We aren't looking! The hills are alive with Him! The valleys aren't truly dry when you know He is in them. The city has His sparkle with its hustle and bustling... the country has His sweet fragrance... and the joy? The joy is within you as you look and see Him in every created thing and human being! It begins with a spark of expectation in what you see... see Him! The expectation grows. Belief comes alive! Faith works! With expectation you will look at His power and majesty right before your eyes and see it!

Receiving
Why is it so hard for us to receive something most of the time? I suppose it is because we have been taught to be givers and not takers, right? And that is Biblically true. However, the Bible does teach us to receive.
Let's look at it this way; we often receive throughout the day. We receive our parenting duties throughout the day, our work responsibilities, our ride when we carpool, and we even receive money from others when we're collecting for the bosses Christmas gift fund or some charitable organization! So why is it when we personally need something we won't receive it?
Here's what I'm getting at...people give us a gift and we say, "oh, you shouldn't have," or "what's this for?" because we don't know what to say and we can even be embarrassed to take it. Maybe it's because we didn't think to give them a gift... but did we need to give them one?
God gave us a gift in His Son and we are to receive that gift. Some choose not to but why? This is a gift of love and life to us so why would anyone choose not to receive it? God has many gifts for us and they often come through other people. Jesus happens to be the first and very best but without Him the other gifts aren't ready to be unwrapped yet. Take... receive... the gift of Jesus today. Begin your year with Him and then you will reap the gifts of His abundance the entire year!

Most Amazing!
He is! Who is? My God, the God of the Bible! His love letters to me from each chapter and verse are so amazing, they just fit in my life where I need them when I read them! Each hero I can relate to because of what they have gone through for somehow their story fits into my life! Reading His Word brings encouragement to me daily. His Word uplifts me into a place of ecstasy that I've come to know and appreciate and expect! Hallelujah! If you haven't experienced that same appreciation or joy yet don't give up, it will come for you too when you expect it and accept it. It's called receiving. Today, simply receive the Holy One of God into your life and know that He's writing The Book for you!

Mercy Goodness & Favor
Just when you think... or want to think the worse... don't! God's mercy and goodness and favor will come through shining for you! He's never late. He can be very last moment... to you... but it is not last moments to Him. Remember, He knows what you don't and He is faithful! Even when your days end and though you are completely exhausted and sleep won't come... keep turning it over to the Lord... keep believing... keep expecting... this is your faith!

Pictures
You can look at a picture and it can tell you many things. Recently the many Christmas cards received carried with them a message a peace and love. Looking out my picture window the last few days of December it showed a scene of a winter wonderland and snow and ice which gave way to a cold atmosphere and chilly feeling if it weren't for the fire in the wood stove.
All that aside, what about the pictures that came in those Christmas cards and letters or birthday cards throughout the year and now you can even find the face of a friend on Facebook! ...aren't they grand! The joy they bring to our heart when they spill out of the envelope or you open up Facebook!
My heart turns to prayer for each one. I ask You Dear Lord to bless my family, friends, and those I partner in business and ministry with this year in your most favorable and abundant way!

Starting Out Your Year or Your Life
Ever want to start life all over again? You can, you know, with Jesus. He has made a way for you when you've found no other way. If you've never heard it before, let me tell you He is the Way. If you've struggled all your life with trying to make it right, He is the Way to make it right. If you've found all other ways have not made it possible for you. He is the Way to make it all possible for you. You first must choose Him as the Way and then let go of your own way. Surrender it all over to Him and let Him have his way with you. You'll find your way with Him.
