Expectation
Day after day the most amazing God - The One True God of the Bible - continues to see us through with His tremendous power and majesty. How can it be that we, flesh and blood but spirit also do not see Him all around us? We aren't looking! The hills are alive with Him! The valleys aren't truly dry when you know He is in them. The city has His sparkle with its hustle and bustling... the country has His sweet fragrance... and the joy? The joy is within you as you look and see Him in every created thing and human being! It begins with a spark of expectation in what you see... see Him! The expectation grows. Belief comes alive! Faith works! With expectation you will look at His power and majesty right before your eyes and see it!

Receiving
Why is it so hard for us to receive something most of the time? I suppose it is because we have been taught to be givers and not takers, right? And that is Biblically true. However, the Bible does teach us to receive.
Let's look at it this way; we often receive throughout the day. We receive our parenting duties throughout the day, our work responsibilities, our ride when we carpool, and we even receive money from others when we're collecting for the bosses Christmas gift fund or some charitable organization! So why is it when we personally need something we won't receive it?
Here's what I'm getting at...people give us a gift and we say, "oh, you shouldn't have," or "what's this for?" because we don't know what to say and we can even be embarrassed to take it. Maybe it's because we didn't think to give them a gift... but did we need to give them one?
God gave us a gift in His Son and we are to receive that gift. Some choose not to but why? This is a gift of love and life to us so why would anyone choose not to receive it? God has many gifts for us and they often come through other people. Jesus happens to be the first and very best but without Him the other gifts aren't ready to be unwrapped yet. Take... receive... the gift of Jesus today. Begin your year with Him and then you will reap the gifts of His abundance the entire year!

Most Amazing!
He is! Who is? My God, the God of the Bible! His love letters to me from each chapter and verse are so amazing, they just fit in my life where I need them when I read them! Each hero I can relate to because of what they have gone through for somehow their story fits into my life! Reading His Word brings encouragement to me daily. His Word uplifts me into a place of ecstasy that I've come to know and appreciate and expect! Hallelujah! If you haven't experienced that same appreciation or joy yet don't give up, it will come for you too when you expect it and accept it. It's called receiving. Today, simply receive the Holy One of God into your life and know that He's writing The Book for you!

Mercy Goodness & Favor
Just when you think... or want to think the worse... don't! God's mercy and goodness and favor will come through shining for you! He's never late. He can be very last moment... to you... but it is not last moments to Him. Remember, He knows what you don't and He is faithful! Even when your days end and though you are completely exhausted and sleep won't come... keep turning it over to the Lord... keep believing... keep expecting... this is your faith!

Pictures
You can look at a picture and it can tell you many things. Recently the many Christmas cards received carried with them a message a peace and love. Looking out my picture window the last few days of December it showed a scene of a winter wonderland and snow and ice which gave way to a cold atmosphere and chilly feeling if it weren't for the fire in the wood stove.
All that aside, what about the pictures that came in those Christmas cards and letters or birthday cards throughout the year and now you can even find the face of a friend on Facebook! ...aren't they grand! The joy they bring to our heart when they spill out of the envelope or you open up Facebook!
My heart turns to prayer for each one. I ask You Dear Lord to bless my family, friends, and those I partner in business and ministry with this year in your most favorable and abundant way!

Starting Out Your Year or Your Life
Ever want to start life all over again? You can, you know, with Jesus. He has made a way for you when you've found no other way. If you've never heard it before, let me tell you He is the Way. If you've struggled all your life with trying to make it right, He is the Way to make it right. If you've found all other ways have not made it possible for you. He is the Way to make it all possible for you. You first must choose Him as the Way and then let go of your own way. Surrender it all over to Him and let Him have his way with you. You'll find your way with Him.

Let's Walk Together
You and me. Hand in hand. What else could there be? It's such a day for fulfilling the simplest of things. Think about your favorite things. Now take today and go do it! A walk in the park. A walk through the snow. Take the dog. Take the cat! Say a sweet hello to all those you pass by. Be happy! Be glad! This is a day for the simple folk... to frolic and flutter and carry on so! Enjoy it! Have at it! Rejoice! Have fun with the simple things in life today.
